Sagittarius

The Celestial Archer

A wise man with an ancient scroll and Sagittarius etched into a starry night sky.

Once upon a time, there lived a mighty centaur named Sagittarius, half-human, half-horse, whose strength and wisdom were unmatched.

With a bow ever in hand and an arrow always nocked, Sagittarius roamed the heavens in eternal vigilance over the secrets of the cosmos.

Some legends say that he was Chiron, the wise teacher of heroes; others claim he was Crotus, the inventor of archery whose skill was so precise it could pierce the very fabric of the universe. But all legends agree that his arrow always pointed true - to a destination unseen by ordinary eyes.

Look up into the sky on a clear summer evening, and you will find the constellation Sagittarius sprawling like a celestial tapestry. His bow drawn tight, his arrow stretches across the stars, pointing towards a place of magical wonder:

The centre of our Milky Way galaxy

This is no ordinary target – it is the swirling heart of our cosmic home, a roiling hub of stars, gas, and mysterious dark forces.

Astronomers call it the Galactic Centre, a place where gravity bends light, and where the supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A* resides. The ancients could never have known the science, yet they saw with their imagination and instinct that the Archer’s arrow was aimed at the heart of the universe itself – a reminder that there is always something beyond, something greater to strive toward.

To be born under this sign means to carry a flame that cannot be contained - a sacred restlessness that seeks meaning in the stars, in stories, and in the wide-open unknown. It means you were born to journey, beyond borders, to question inherited truths, and to fire arrows of wisdom into the heart of the cosmos.
