Pisces
When Love Took the Shape of the Sea
Long before the stars took their places and the constellations sang their silent songs, there was a time when gods walked among mortals, and the sea shimmered with secrets yet untold.
In those early days of the world, Aphrodite, radiant with love and beauty, wandered along the riverbanks with her playful son Eros, whose laughter could stir both hearts and tempests. The two delighted in the harmony of earth and sky – until one twilight evening, when the air grew heavy with dread.
From the depths of chaos came Typhon, the monstrous storm-bringer, his wings blotting out the sun, his roar shaking the heavens. Even the bravest gods trembled. Mountains cracked, and the wind howled with fury.
Aphrodite clutched Eros close, her heart filled with both terror and devotion. “My son,” she whispered, “Love must not perish, for it is the heart of creation itself.”
And so, in a shimmer of divine magic, they leapt into the Euphrates River – and there, the goddess and her child transformed into two silver fish, gliding through the waters with scales that gleamed like starlight.
To keep from losing each other in the vast, trembling currents, they bound themselves together with a silken cord of starlit love – the first Piscean bond, symbolizing eternal connection, empathy, and the invisible threads that tie soul to soul.
When peace returned to Olympus, Zeus, moved by their devotion, lifted their forms into the heavens. There they remain, entwined as Pisces, the twin fish forever swimming side by side. A celestial reminder that love, when true, will always find its way home.
To be born under this sign means your soul swims in the sacred, attuned to dreams, to music, to mystery. You remember what others forget:
that we are all connected, and love is the language that transcends all borders.
A large but faint constellation, Pisces forms two fish tied by a ribbon. It sits near the vernal equinox, once marking the age of Pisces. Aquarius, the Water Bearer, pours the water from his urn into the sea of Pisces.
Pisces contains the fixed star Alrescha at 29 degrees Pisces - the knot that binds the two fish, symbolizing spiritual connection, unity, and the dissolution of illusion.
